Technology solutions on John Deere skid steers and compact track loaders can help jobs get completed ahead of schedule and in a safe manner. This means that more jobs can be bid and worked throughout the year and that operators will be more confident working on sites when other people and objects are around.

    • Built off the success of the grade control solutions on the 333G, the 333 P-tier and 335 P-tier compact track loaders will have the ability to be equipped with SmartGrade, Slope Control and Laser Slope Control solutions.
    • Brand new optional Surround View provides 270 degrees of bird’s eye view visibility above the machine. By utilizing cameras on both the left and right side of the view in addition to a rear camera, images are stitched together and viewable on a dedicated 8” (20cm) display conveniently located within line of sight of the operator in the seat of the machine.
    • Large Frame Skid Steers and CTL’s will continue to come equipped with a JDLink modem and Operations Center as standard features. JDLink data is transferred to the John Deere Operations Center which allows customers and dealers to view key machine information such as fleet utilization, maintenance, and machine location.
    • New Attachment Manager comes on all machines equipped with the new Touchscreen display (this display is in base on the 334 and 335). This feature takes guess work out of an operator’s hands by coming pre-programmed with optimal flow and pressure settings for John Deere attachments. An operator can simply select which attachment they are running, and the machine can ensure adequate flow and pressure are provided for the best performance.
      • This feature also features the ability to save attachment preferences based on operator demand while also limiting the enablement of non-optimal parameters.
      • Additionally, preprogrammed joystick layouts can be viewed on the monitor that change depending on attachments but designed by operators for operators with ease of use in mind
    • New optional EH Dual Self Leveling feature ensures that bucket or forks stay parallel to the ground throughout the boom raise and lower cycles. This feature enables operators to focus on tasks at hand like truck and trailer loading by not having to control both boom up and down and keep the bucket or fork angle parallel to the ground.
    • Slope Indicate, formerly known as Onboard Grade Indication on large frame G-series machines, is included on machines equipped with the new touchscreen display (this display comes standard on the 334 and 335). This feature displays the cross-slope (roll) and main-fall (pitch) of the machine in either degrees or percent. This allows operators to use a relative benchmark to assist in maintaining a desired grade.

Compact Track Loader (CTL) with new Quik-Tatch coupler

An overhaul of the John Deere™ Quik-Tatch coupler means customers can experience less downtime and continue to easily switch back and forth between attachments.

    • The redesigned Quik-Tatch coupler will comprise of a straight, flag pin design which replaces the tapered pin design found in G-Series couplers.  Additionally, a clevis style plat and boss will be added for further long-term durability.
    • Bucket rollback stop surface area has been increased by 46% compared to G-Series design to help extend the life of the Quik-Tatch components
    • Increased pawl retraction on new Quik-Tatch couplers compared with that on G-Series couplers means that chances of inadvertently catching on to attachments when swapping is not occurring.
    • Improved debris shedding capabilities can be realized through extra relief pathways that help debris fall more easily away from the Quik-Tatch instead of getting caught between cylinders or on top of the coupler itself.
    • Thicker and higher strength steel, especially in the front plat, has been added for increased longevity in applications that are running demanding attachments.
    • Common assembly design makes it easy to switch between a manual and electric Quik-Tatch over time

Grade Control Solutions are expanding with the launch of P-tier large frame machines with offerings not only available on the 333 but the 335 as well.  These compact track loaders can be outfitted with a range of grade control solutions from 2D Laser Slope Control, SmartGradeTM Ready with Slope Control, and the industry’s first fully integrated 3D grade control solution available on a compact track loader, SmartGradeTM.  All these solutions provide an overall, more efficient manner of cutting and spreading material to get to grade the first time and avoid rework, even in tight areas.

2D Laser Slope Control provides a cost effective and precise solution for grading flat pads and simple slopes both in outdoor and indoor settings.  Receivers on the blade detect a plane provided by an offboard base station and signal the machine controllers to raise, lower, or pitch the blade automatically to cut the final target grade.

SmartGradeTM Ready with Slope Control is an entry level grade control system that assists operators in grading smooth planar surfaces by automating the blade using machine position or operator desired mainfall and/or crossfall slopes to automate raising, lowering, and tilting of the blade.

SmartGradeTM is a solution that integrates precision 3D grade control technology, from the factory, that takes the guess work out of finish grading on jobsites with 3D models with complex slopes and cut/fill requirements.

Regardless of which option is selected, all three solutions come with standard features that give these machines a unique advantage no matter the jobsite.

    • The Deere designed and built 6-way dozer blade attachment is robust enough to cut rough grade but also smooth enough to do precision fine grading and is included in both SmartGradeTM and Slope Control offerings.
    • DozerMode can be enabled to allow the machine controls to function like those on a crawler dozer.
    • EZ Grade software stabilizes the blade for smoother grading while operating manually.

  • New hydraulic system on 333, 334, and 335 P-Tier machines enables greater machine capabilities while saving fuel

To keep up with customer demands when running higher flow and powered attachments, a new pressure compensated load sensing hydraulic system has been added to the 333, 334, and 335 P-Tier machines. This new system provides better multifunctioning, smoother machine control and up to 15% better fuel economy.

    • A new pressure compensated load sensing (PCLS) hydraulic system comes standard on 333, 334, and 335 P-Tier skid steers and Compact Track Loaders (CTL’s) replacing the G-series open centered hydraulic system.
      • The PCLS hydraulic system more efficiently manages hydraulic demand based on the highest hydraulic function demand which translates to better performance and better fuel efficiency over an open centered hydraulic system.
      • PCLS hydraulics system is also quieter than an open center system reducing noise both outside the machine and the noise level inside the cab.
    • Hydraulic flows have been increased and the new 334 and 335 provide higher auxiliary pressures for more efficient operation of high flow and high-pressure attachments.
