Introducing the John Deere 8RX, the first fixed-frame, four-track tractor in the industry.
John Deere unveiled the newest member of the 8-Family Series of Tractors in December – set to release in model year 2020 – along with several 8-Family upgrades.
Why is this such a big deal? The 8RX drives with the turning characteristics of a wheel tractor combined with the strength, traction, and adjustability that four tracks offer operators. Read on to learn more about the John Deere 8RX tractor features, as well as upcoming updates to the entire 8-Family tractor series.
The 8-Family row crop tractor series consists of the 8R wheel tractors, the 8RT two-track tractors and now the all-new 8RX, offering operators a diverse set of machinery that can be customized for their agriculture operation.
The John Deere 8RX launch includes four 8RX models – the 8RX 310, 8RX 340, 8RX 370, and 8RX 410 – which allows customers to decide between options ranging from 230 to 410 horsepower. The 8RX tractors also come equipped with a range of track and axle configurations, offering several tread-spacing options and belt widths that are specific to the front and backtracks.

8-FAMILY INNOVATIONS
The 8RX isn’t the only 8-Family innovation set to release in model year 2020. John Deere has introduced upgrades to the entire 8-Family tractor series in the new year, integrating precision ag technology to help customers remotely manage and monitor operations more effectively than ever before.
With platforms like JDLink™, which lets customers track machine-hours, plan maintenance, and analyze fuel usage, the 8-Family tractors maximize your productivity, even when you’re not actively using your equipment.
The new 8-Family tractor upgrades also include expansion of all model series cabs, giving operators an additional two inches of headspace and a 24% larger entry path, making entry and exit of the machines easier and more comfortable. Operators can choose between Select, Premium, or Ultimate cab packages, but most upgrades come with the Ultimate comfortability package, which includes; leather seats with electronic adjustment, smartphone integration, a multi-speaker system, and more.
