Engine smoke and inoperable after 3 hours ... 3 HOURS!

1/5

We were very pleased with our last JD tractor. It lasted us a long time as we took good care of it - over 15 years. We were shocked this new tractor didn't even make it to 4 hours. White, noxious fumes are spewing out of the tractor and it has to be taken in and the engine has to be taken apart for repair -- likely head gasket issues. Depending on how large an area you need the tractor or how long you use the tractor for each use, we would highly recommend running the engine for as long as possible within the 30-day return window. We had every reason to trust the JD brand and didn't even think twice about taking such precautions. But now we're stuck with an inoperable tractor and have to pay to get it delivered to the nearest dealership. Hard to trust the John Deere name anymore.
